What happens

The second of Lalbagh's two yearly flower shows is held in the first half of August and closes on or just after Independence Day. As in January, the main display is a large structure of cut flowers built inside the Glass House on a new theme each time, with smaller exhibits by government nurseries, hobby growers and schools around it. It is among the best attended events in the city, and weekends are crowded, so go on a weekday morning. Exact dates are announced each year.
