Garland
A length of flowers, leaves or both, strung or bound together to hang, drape or wear.
A garland is a rope or chain of plant material. It may be worn round the neck, hung over a door, wound round a pillar or laid on a statue or a grave. Garlands are among the oldest forms of flower decoration and are found almost everywhere, from ancient Egypt and Greece to modern weddings. In South and Southeast Asia they are a daily craft, made by threading flowers on string or tying them with banana fibre. Hawaii's lei and India's mala are garlands.
