Pew end
A small arrangement fixed to the end of a church bench or aisle chair for a wedding.
Also: aisle marker, chair-back decoration
Pew ends line the aisle at a wedding. Each is a small bunch, a hanging posy, a ring of foliage or a jar of flowers, tied or hooked to the end of a bench or the back of a chair. They are often placed on every second or third row. Because they hang without a large water supply, long-lasting flowers and foliage are used. After the ceremony they are sometimes moved to decorate the reception.
