Gardens by the Bay
A waterfront park of giant planted towers and two cooled glasshouses with changing flower shows.
Presented by ClearTrust Free for gardeners, florists, travellers and the curious.

What it is
Gardens by the Bay opened in 2012 on reclaimed land beside Marina Bay. Its outdoor gardens are free and are dominated by the Supertrees, tall steel frames clothed in ferns, orchids and bromeliads. Two large glasshouses need a ticket. The Flower Dome is kept cool and dry and grows plants of Mediterranean and semi-desert climates: olive trees, baobabs, succulents and a central field that is replanted through the year for themed shows such as tulips, cherry blossom, dahlias and Christmas poinsettias. The Cloud Forest is cool and misty, with a planted mountain of orchids, begonias and carnivorous plants.
