Cascade bouquet
A bridal bouquet that is full at the top and trails downwards in a point.
Also: shower bouquet, teardrop bouquet
A cascade bouquet spills from the bride's hands towards the floor. The top is rounded, and flowers and trailing foliage taper below it. Large shower bouquets were the fashion in Britain and America in the early 20th century, and the shape returned in the 1980s. It is traditionally built with wired stems or in a foam holder so each trail can be placed. Orchids, stephanotis, lilies, roses, ivy and jasmine are typical materials.
