Tussie-mussie

A small posy of flowers and herbs, often chosen for their meanings; also its cone-shaped holder.

Also: tuzzy-muzzy

Tussie-mussie is an old English word for a little bunch of flowers and scented herbs. In the 19th century such posies became fashionable gifts, and each flower was picked for what it was said to mean, so the bunch could be read as a message. The name is also given to the small decorative holders made for them, shaped like a cone or a little vase, in silver or other metal, which could be carried or pinned to a dress.
