Arboretum
A botanical collection made up mainly of trees and shrubs.
An arboretum is a garden of woody plants, grown as labelled specimens with room to reach full size. It may stand alone or be part of a larger botanical garden. Visitors go for spring blossom on magnolias, cherries and crab apples, and for autumn colour. The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in Boston and Westonbirt in England are well-known examples. A collection only of conifers is called a pinetum.
